The FASTCAM NOVA S20
The FASTCAM NOVA S20 combines unique CMOS sensor technology with extensive expertise in high-speed digital imaging to provide a highly versatile camera for various applications. It offers 10-bit recording at up to 20,000 frames per second at 1-megapixel resolution, with a shutter speed as fast as 0.2 microseconds. The camera can achieve recording speeds up to 1,100,000 frames per second (subject to output control approval) at reduced image resolutions.

Standard features of the FASTCAM NOVA include an internal mechanical shutter that enables remote system calibration, a high-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface for camera control and high-speed image download, and memory segmentation that allows recording to one memory partition while downloading from another. The system also supports compatibility with multiple industry-standard lens formats, enabling the use of Nikon G-Type, C-mount, and Canon EF lenses.
The FASTCAM NOVA features a sealed camera body design that protects sensitive electronics from dust and corrosive particles. When used with the optional FAST Drive SSD, image data can be downloaded at speeds of up to 1 GB per second.
Each FASTCAM NOVA camera includes Photron FASTCAM Viewer (PFV) software, an intuitive and feature-rich application for camera operation and data management. In addition, the Photron Device Control SDK is available to facilitate integration into user-specific software, along with libraries that allow camera control within MATLAB® or LabVIEW environments.
