The FASTCAM NOVA R2 combines unique CMOS sensor technology with expertise in high-speed digital imaging to provide a versatile camera for various applications. It offers 12-bit recording at up to 1,440 frames per second at 4-megapixel resolution, with a maximum shutter speed of 2.7 microseconds. The camera can achieve recording speeds up to 100,000 frames per second at reduced image resolutions.

Standard Features of FASTCAM NOVA R2
The FASTCAM NOVA R2 includes an internal mechanical shutter that enables remote system calibration, a high-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface for reliable camera control and high-speed image download, and memory segmentation that allows recording to one memory partition while downloading from another. The camera also supports compatibility with multiple industry-standard lens mounts, including Nikon G-Type, C-mount, and Canon EF lenses.
The sealed camera body design prevents dust and corrosive particles from contaminating sensitive internal electronics. When equipped with the optional FAST Drive SSD, the system supports image data download speeds of up to 1 GB per second.
Each FASTCAM NOVA R2 camera includes Photron FASTCAM Viewer (PFV) software — an intuitive, full-featured interface for camera setup, control, and data management. Additionally, the Photron Device Control SDK is available for seamless integration with custom user software, along with libraries that enable camera control within MATLAB® or LabVIEW environments.
